Over a five year period, award winning filmmaker John Borowski (H.H. Holmes: America's First Serial Killer) has produced the definitive mini-series on the life and crimes of John Wayne Gacy.

The mini-series is an eight part, unprecedented, thorough, and concise historical documentary accounting Gacy's entire life and details of the case from Gacy's birth to 2024. The mini-series covers everything from Gacy's childhood, incarcerations, murders, his prison celebrity status, and eventual execution. What makes Borowski's Gacy mini-series unique is the dispelling of many myths about the Gacy case as well as Borowski's unique style of telling the complete story by placing the subject under a microscope and studying their life in detail. Borowski has been called a "folklorist" and the "Ken Burns" of true crime documentaries.

Featuring interviews with experts involved in Gacy's case including attorneys, news reporters, law enforcement officers, detectives, psychiatrists, collectors, and others related to Gacy's case as well as Chicago locals who encountered Gacy. Filming in key locations around Chicago and Iowa, the project contains firsthand knowledge from the Gacy case.

MINISERIES REVIEW BY FILM THREAT
"Very slickly produced with good editing and a great score. But what truly makes this soar is the number of first-hand accounts on display. The interviewees are all engaging and capture the harrowing time and the grisly details in a somber but engaging way." 9/10. FULL REVIEW

MINISERIES REVIEW BY ERIC MYFORD
"The John Wayne Gacy Murders - Life and Death in Chicago. This documentary takes a look at the life and crimes of notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy. From his early years to adulthood to criminality and beyond his execution. I'm a total @johnborowskifilmmaker fan, I think the man makes legitimately the best true life serial killer movies ever. With this miniseries, he outdoes himself in every possible way. There will never be as thorough or comprehensive look at Gacy as this. I thought I knew a lot about Gacy, after watching this, I didn't know anything. This is a masterpiece among masterpieces for the director, from the narration to the interviews to how everything unfolded chronologically. I watched this one in one sitting and it was probably the quickest 8 hours of my life. The flow of this is incredible. I see how much work and effort went into this, it really is an outstanding piece of filmmaking that every true crime connoisseur must watch."

REVIEW BY ALAN R. WARREN, NBC, HOUSE OF MYSTERY
"John Borowski's The John Wayne Gacy Murders is a masterful exploration of one of America's most notorious figures, John Wayne Gacy. Over eight meticulously crafted episodes, Borowski presents a comprehensive and nuanced portrait of Gacy's life, from his troubled childhood to his chilling crimes and eventual execution.

What sets this miniseries apart is Borowski's dedication to dispelling myths and providing a thorough historical account. His approach is both analytical and empathetic, allowing viewers to understand the complexities of Gacy's life without sensationalizing his horrific actions. The use of expert interviews, including attorneys, detectives, and even locals who crossed paths with Gacy, enriches the narrative and offers a multifaceted view of the case.

Filmed in key locations across Chicago and Iowa, the series immerses viewers in the context of Gacy's life, enhancing the storytelling with a sense of place. Borowski’s unique style, often likened to that of Ken Burns, invites us to ponder the deeper implications of Gacy's actions and the societal factors at play.

Overall, The John Wayne Gacy Murders is an unprecedented achievement in true crime documentary filmmaking. It’s both educational and thought-provoking, making it a must-watch for anyone interested in the darker facets of human nature and the stories behind the headlines. Borowski has once again proven himself to be a leading voice in the genre, and this series is sure to be a defining work in the understanding of Gacy's legacy."

MINISERIES REVIEW BY RAZ'S MIDNIGHT MACABRE
"John Borowski’s way of documentary film making makes this a must watch, he lets the subject do the talking. The interviewees are never interrupted, they’re given freedom to talk and tell their stories as they see fit and the narrative isn’t manipulated."

VIEWER FEEDBACK
"I purchased your Gacy miniseries on Amazon and it was really worth every penny!! It was a really excellent documentary and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Really liked how in the final episode you touched on all the recent shows on the topic and conspiracy surrounding the case, including Bob Motta Jr’s 'discovery' that the cops planted the photo receipt in the trash outside the house… really liked how you stuck to the facts and truth. Was also super cool to see and hear about Macabre’s Gacy visits lol! I wanted to say I’m happy you stuck with the project through all the difficulties as the end result is really really great!! Glad I was able to contribute some money in those early days of the project… really really great work man!!" - Andrew

"There are so may photos, videos, and interviews that have never been seen before which is a huge turn on for any JWG true crime fans out there. Watching the entire series (with no phone in hand) is exhilarating! With so many scenes making one shout, 'right!'. The subtle acknowledgment the photo receipt being found in the trash on the roadside rather than in the rubbish bin in the kitchen did not fall on deaf ears. Daring and amazing Documentary. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the craft." -Shannon D.
